When I was in Hakone, I stayed in Yumoto Fujiya Hotel. It has an elevator that would take you down to this bridge that connects to the rest of Yumoto-machi and Yumoto Station
The name of this bridge is ajisaibashi which means "Hydrangea bridge". Under the bridge is a river and it also has stairs that would lead you down to the river bank
I went to Japan during tsuyu or rainy season and it's the time when the ajisai (hydrangeas) are in full bloom

The morning after. Crisp, cool and fresh mountain air. I got the mountain view of the hotel but the river also flows on this side.
